Trinette with crazy hair
Thia my sisterWe had fun running the 8 miler on Saturday. It is amazing how fast my husband is. Nathan was long recovered and cooled down by the time my sister and I finished. Thia and I actually finished together which was awesome. She caught up to me about 2 1/2 miles to go. I was wasted and she was a great motivator for me to keep on running. The first half of the race was hilly and straight into the cold wind. The second half was much better and the wind was behind us. Before the race started we actually had a friend tell us we were wimpy for just running the 8 miler (I guess she was kind of joking, but come on). She was running the 50K (31 miles), I wanted to tell her she was dumb for running 31 miles, but I withheld my comment. I was home and showered long before she was done. Of course she rocked the course and had an amazing time. She just made me feel like I was beneath her. I run for the love of it, but I have to say it was a love/hate relationship on Saturday. I finished in the time I wanted and that makes me happy.

Wow, Nathan is fast! I am glad you sent me your blog! I love blogs! One day when I work up to your level (I am being serious) we should run together!
What a cute picture of you Trinette! You did great!
Wow - awesome!
And I loved the picture of the mountain at the beginning . . . :0)
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Trinette - I extended your belated birthday wishes to Sadie. She was thrilled. She wishes her birthday came every month, so it made her day to hear it again!
I didn't make the blanket - my mother in law did! It reminded me of the little one you made when Sadie was born.
I have so little time for sewing any more. :0(
Wow, great job! 8 miles is no small run. You are going to spank the Boulder Boulder! Don't think twice about what anyone may say. Before any sort of race whether it be 1 mile or 26.. I always keep my headphones on at the starting line. People talk so much crap and it drives me crazy, so I just blast my music and don't pay attnetion to anyone else. And that is usually all is is...just talk. Most of the time, the really good runners and the ones that always end up smoking everyone, are the ones that are silently standing there or encouraging everyone else. Big mouths make slow feet. It is amazing that you are even out there, who cares about the distance. Run because you love it, and leave it at that.
