October gone with a blink of an eye....
Is October really over? I think I'm still in denial! We had so much stuff going on the week of Halloween, it was crazy busy. We did all our traditional Halloween fun before Halloween. Carving pumpkins, cooking pumpkin seeds, dinner in a pumpkin, ect.
The kids had fun at our annual Church fall festival with, chili cook off, carnival games, and trunk or treat on Saturday. I have to say I vote for Halloween to always be the last Saturday in October, but I'm not sure anyone of importance would listen or agree with me. We had an average day on Sunday. We went to church and then had our regular sabbath day. Our neighbors did invite us over last minute to eat a surplus of dinner they had. Then we went trick-or-treating (I know, gasp). Oh how my kiddos enjoyed going to their neighbors houses and seeing them. A few of them buy special treats for the neighborhood kids. We had a fabulous evening as a family! Good-by October...hello November.

Happy Birthday Aivan
Happy 6th birthday my one and only boy. I'm so lucky to be your mother. Yes, 5 plus 1 equals 6, candles were the last thing on my mind! I'm thankful I was able to get his oreo ice cream cake made (we ate it the day after his birthday-oh well!). We spent the day before his birthday in Longmont at my step sisters funeral. It was amazing I remembered to get his presents the day before wrapped and in the car so Aivan could open them in the hotel room Saturday morning. Friday evening was an after thought. We came up with finding a Chuck E Cheeses in Longmont then going out to dinner. Nathan took the kids swimming at the hotel, while my Dad and I talked. Aivan's birthday this year was bitter sweet. I'm grateful for the 6 years I have had with my sweet Aivan. Complete sadness for the loss of my step sister Julie.

Happy 8th Birthday Grace!

Aw, 8 is such a great birthday for many reasons. The big one is Baptism. In our Church we get Baptised at age 8. For my Colorado Springs friends Grace's baptism is 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Lexington Building. We love you sweet Grace! Thanks for bringing so much laughter and fun into our family. Now that your a big 8 year old your going to keep your room clean-right?
