I guess most people have been recycling for years. I have recycled our newspapers in the free bins around town. We have also recycled our plastic bags. When we moved to our new house in October I would take the newspapers to Walmart. One day a couple months ago the bins were gone. I was so sad and my newspapers have just been stacking up since then. I have always wanted to recycle and every time I have thrown something in the trash that I know should be recycled I have just cringed. I found out a couple weeks ago that my trash has a single stream recycling program. So all recyclable items can be put in one big trash container (I'm sure this has been around for a while I just didn't know about it). No sorting, I repeat no sorting which I love. I guess call me lazy, but I just didn't like the sorting thing with recycling. My trash company does it for me, yeah! They dropped off my container today and I'm just happy as happy can be. Finally, I am doing something good for our beautiful planet. It just feels awesome and I know my kids will benefit too. It is better late than never-right?

The Mccrary Family- Official Recyclers!

How funny-I just changed garbage companies so I could start recycling too! Great minds think alike!
I love the no sorting thing too. It makes it all easier, and sometimes easy is what we need to get us going! Nice job, Mom, teaching about our stewardship of the earth!
YOU GO GIRL!
Thanks for the invite! It's so fun to see photos of your kids! They are darling. I can't believe how big Olivia is! It doesn't seem like that long ago that we moved.
You are right - no sorting makes it so much easier. We picked the garbage company just for their recycling. Once you start you feel too guilty to throw anything away again!
We have curbside recycling pick up that comes with our regular garbage pick up - no sorting.
The kids love to go to the recycling place though and sort everything anyway!
Go figure!
