Spontaneous Getaway

We decided Sunday morning that our little family needed a break. Nathan and I also wanted to reward our kids for fabulous grades. Yes, I'm going to take this moment to brag about my kids. They are awesome and their teachers just love them. My kiddos come home every quarter with high marks. I hope and pray that it will always be this way. I have challenges just like the rest of us, but I'm sure grateful for my life.

We left Sunday evening and headed up to Mount Princeton to stay the night and enjoy the natural hot springs and pools. Oh, how I love this place! Nathan and I went a couple years ago, just the two of us for our anniversary. Nathan went last year with his brothers for a snowboarding trip. This just might have to be a yearly getaway.

We visited the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument on the way home. We made a few other stops on the way home. Now, back to life, back to reality...bummer!

Summer Loving...oh so gone!

Trip to Breckenridge! We had fun riding the gondola. Then riding the alpine slide. No picture of the slide. Hey, I'm not the have my camera on me every moment taking pictures kind of gal.

Hmm, Teva not looking thrilled

Aivan holding Teva's hand while she sleeps. We stayed at my sister's condo in Silverthorn.

Phew, Teva happy now. This was taken at South Park historical town in Fairplay. Very cool and worth the drive.

Brad smiling because he is awesome and finished, but feeling like crap

Brad not doing well! He ended up staying in medical for two hours. He finally made it out of medical at 10 at night with plenty of assistance.
