Power Shakes

Avena-Healthy Oatmeal Shake
Gina's Weight Watcher Recipes
1/2 cup quick oats (I just use regular)
2 cups water
1 cup fat free milk
1 cup ice
3 tbsp. sugar
1-2 tsp. cinnamon
Cook oats and water in a small pot for about a minute or two, stirring often until it becomes thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and let cool a few minutes.
In a blender add milk, sugar, cinnamon. Add oats and ice. Blend on high until very smooth. Chill in refrigerator or pour in a glass over ice. Makes 4 cups and only 93 calories per 1 cup serving.

Jill's Raspberry Flax-Seed Protein Shake
15 to 20 frozen or fresh raspberries
1/2 banana
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup orange juice
1 small handful of fresh spinach
7 baby carrots
1/4 cup dry oatmeal
1 to 2 tsp. of flax-seed oil (I just use ground flax seed)
Add a tiny bit of ice and blend. You can always add what sounds good to you.

I love to make healthy shakes. I thought I would share a couple of my favorite. These are awesome, healthy, yummy shakes. Remember they don't taste like a good old chocolate milkshake, but that's just not on my menu right now-ha!

Okay, I have to ask if the "Jill's" shake is from the Dr. Oz Show? She lives across the street from me!

Yes, it sure is! She lives across the street from you,how cool! I have always fixed different types of healthy shakes, but I really like her combinations.

If you want I'll ask Jill if she has any other great recipes. Isn't that cool I live right across the street from our small town celeb?
