GlassesNo glasses
My Olivia will be fitted for contacts tomorrow. This is a big deal for us. She has been wearing glasses for a few years now. She will be starting Volleyball in March, so we figured now is a good time. Last year she got hit in her face a few times and it wasn't fun. I'm happy for her to make this transition. I'm having a little bit of a hard time though, because I feel like it makes her more grown up-ugh!

Contacts ARE grown-up! But she has such a beautiful face and those eyes are lovely! It will be nice to not have to have glasses on all the time to cover it up. :) And you can always ask her to put her glasses back on if you need to be reminded that she's still your little girl!
Getting my first contacts was so exciting! Like seeing a whole new world almost. :0)
Olivia is beautiful with or without glasses. I know it is hard sometimes to see our "babies" grow up so fast though!
That is so exciting! Make sure she takes care of her eyes... take out those contacts every single night! I ignored that important detail when I was younger and ended up with a pretty bad ulcer/eye infection! It still flares up every now and then and I never made that mistake again! Good luck! I bet she can't wait for volleyball to start.
