I bought a package of the famous conversation hearts. Oh the memories these sweet little hearts bring. I was a little confused when I opened the package and tasted one of the hearts. These don't taste the same, maybe I got a generic brand. Double checked and tasted again, still confused. I decided to go to the website to investigate. Sure enough they decided to change the taste, color, texture and sayings. Click here to see. I would have to say I'm really disappointed. The conversation hearts have never been my favorite candy, but I just can't go without having them in my house during Valentines. Anyway, two thumbs down to the new hearts. My sweet little kiddos will be waking up to one heart by their beds every morning until Valentines Day. Tonight's are, Love Bug, Love Me, You Rock, and Sweet Pea. Aw, just too darn cute you little hearts you!

Okay, the idea of leaving a heart on your kids pillow a day till Valentine's Day is so stinkin' cute! I might have to do that. However, they will have to eat the extras. I HATE those candies! And after reading the new flavors I think I may even hate them more. Yuck! Kids will eat most anything so this will be the test, right? Hope you get some yummy candy from your hubby!
BTW, sorry I just had to laugh about a memory. It reminded me of that Christmas you came over and Santa came for a visit. I remember he asked you what you wanted for Christmas and you said, "Candy. I just want candy." So funny! Do you still have quite the sweet tooth?
I have to admit - these were never my favorite candy, though I did always like the sayings! Sorry they changed it on you - I hate it when they do stuff like that.
Two thumbs down for the change! There is just something classic about that chalky antacid flavor that you need every valentine's day! But two thumbs up for a cute mommy idea...I may have to steal that one ;).
Yes, my friend bought some and I was so excited to pop one in my mouth. YUCK...rasberry. Like you my vote is for the original thing!
What a cute idea! I love it. But I'm very sad to hear that the candy has changed! Bummer.
That is a sweet tradition. I've never been a fan of the candy hearts...just like candy corns. Don't do it for me. Probably because there is no chocolate or peanutbutter involved.
I always thought the hearts tasted like toothpaste. Nasty little things. But I agree, they just have to be around for Valentine's Day. I like your fun tradition, and I am sure your kiddos love it to!
