In celebration of the fabulous month of October, I'm going to post the recipe that will destroy my diet one glass at a time. This stuff is yummy to my tummy. My family devoured it. The milkshake reminded me of everything fall. I got the recipe from
Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
1/3 cup pumpkin, canned or fresh
1/4-1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/16 tsp. cloves ( half of 1/8)
1/16 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbs. brown sugar
2 cup vanilla ice cream
a few graham crackers
Pop it all in a blender. Start with 1/4 cup milk and then slowly add more if needed to make the blender process it all. Can put ice cream in at the end and just chop up with spoon instead of blend for a thicker shake. Top with crushed graham crackers.
Beware, I'm warning you now this stuff is addicting.
FYI: Sunflower Market has apples for 49 cents a pound. This is an awesome price. The possibilities are endless. Apple pie filing, applesauce, frozen apple slices, apple cobbler, dried apple slices. I like to make apple pie filling and freeze it. It is great to have on hand for pies this winter. Click here for the recipe I have used for the apple pie filling. Make sure to read the reviews on the water amount.

Oh dear. Pumpkin is my favorite! I'll have to try this one very soon!
You have no idea how great that sounds to my wicked sore throat. I am going to persuade Ben to make that tomorrow. He may be calling for help. ;)
