My friend Tracia loves to mountain bike, actually I believe she lives for it. We work together in the Young Women's at church. She asked me to go with her at the beginning of the summer and we finally found a time to go. I was a little timid on the trail. I wanted to come back in one piece. I haven't been mountain biking for a few years and I have never been on a trail this hard and long ( it was 13 miles). Wow! We had a blast! I did great until mile 11 and then I just hit a wall, so Tracia and I traded bikes. I did much better on her bike and she absolutely hated my bike. She said "no wonder you are tired, your bike is a tank and it's awful"! I know, but it was a cheap bike. Cheap is good for your pocket book, but not always for your legs. I have had my bike for a few years, but I had so much fun I just might need to save up for a better bike. Let me put this ride in perspective it took us 3 hours to ride the trail(Tracia would have been faster without me, but that wasen't the point). I think we could have taken off at least a half an hour with a better bike. Nathan rides it in 1 hour, geez he is an animal.
