Weather

I have lived in Colorado my whole life, minus a few years. I still can't get use to the ever changing weather. Last week Teva, Aivan and I played outside and colored with chalk. The weather was sunny and beautiful. Today, I'm freezing!! Yesterday I thought my house was going to blow away. Grace was out for recess at school yesterday and had to go inside quickly because of an awful gust of wind. Grace told me she had a bad dream last night about a tornado. I said; "Oh honey, I was scared of the wind too. Sounds wimpy, but I really was scared of the wind. It was hard driving in the wind let alone trying to walk in it.

I had Mia at the school yesterday when I picked up Philip and she was running across the blacktop to the playground and a gust of wind actually stopped her and almost toppled her backwards! I heard gusts of up to 70 mph yesterday--I'm with you Grace.

I agree with you and your dislike of the wind. The wind here wakes my kids up at night! Cute drawings with chalk!

Seriously!! My fence blew down yesterday! Well not the whole fence but two sections - that's enough to let the kids escape!

I must say, though, coming from tornado country, it could be a lot worse. I can't tell you how many times I had to gather the kids, sleeping or not, into the closet under the stairs until the tornado sirens stopped.

I too am OVER the wind! but I do love the little tastes of spring we get once in a while.

I hear you! We came from a place where the temperature in one day rarely swings 5 degrees from one day to the next, gradually getting warmer as the spring comes, gradually cooling down through the fall...to where we can have a 35 degree drop in 3 hours! Ben is freaked out about tornadoes here too. He hates windy days, and I get nervous by them too! Your terms of endearment post cracked me up!! How true!

Teva and Aivan, love your heart on the driveway with it's brusting lights. For Valentines day I'm sure. Grace, I'm with you? The wind makes me jittery all day. I hope you have all been well for awhile. Nana has had the yuk that turned into broncites. Back to work today I think. I love you very, very, very, much

Sounds a bit like our week. Rain on Monday. Sun and the park on Tuesday. Severe thunderstorms, flash flood warnings and a Tornado watch on Wednesday. Today is sunny and cold. Tomorrow - they say rain AND snow.

Oooooo-kayyyyyyyyy
