Weekend fun, not what you think!

Exciting moments in the McCrary household this past weekend!

Why is Teva so happy?

Why is Teva looking snugly cute in her bed?

Because we said goodbye to the crib!

Oh, I also got my new vacuum. My old vacuum died.

Saying goodbye to the crib was bitter sweet. Teva Lee is our last baby. Yes, we are prayerfully finished having children. It was emotional for the McCrary family. It is really hard when you realize your baby is not such a baby. It feels like the last everything; last coo, last midnight feeding, last baby food, last bottle, last roll over, last crawl, last first walk, last first smile, last tiny outfits, last sweet baby smells, last crib. My two older daughters say, "I don't want Teva to grow up". I look forward to the babies my children will have (yes, grandchildren).

I know it is a little strange to talk about a vacuum after sentimental statements about our last baby, but a mothers work must go on. My vacuum died on Monday, a week ago from today. I decided to buy my vacuum on Amazon. Wow, I have never bought a vacuum on line and had it delivered to my house. It was pretty cool! You can't really tell if the vacuum is going to be good at the store. That is why I depend on Consumer report for all my important purchases. I bought consumer reports best buy for the money. Money doesn't grow on trees, so I can't spend more than $200 on a vacuum. I only spent 148.00, bargain right-ugh! I do vacuum about three times a week, 4 little children, light carpet, and not enough wood floors.

Thanks for the invite! I totally know where you're coming from with the crib...when that day arrives for us I know I'll be sad! Enjoy your new vacuum (a consolation prize?).

MORN'N. THE LAST OF ANYTHING BRINGS AN AWAKENING TO THE END OF
SOMETHING IN LIFE'S PLAN AND THE NEW BEGINNING OF ANOTHER. BUT WHEN IT HAS TO DO WITH OUR CHILDREN IT PULLS AT OUR HEARTSTRINGS. ITS'S CALLED LOVE.
LOVE YA,

Becky-

I think I got it at walmart. It was about three years ago. It was pretty cheap too, if I remember right.

A vacuum is definitely important!! And moving to a big kid bed is huge!! I totally cried when Georgie turned one. So sad when our babies grow up.

Ok Trinette, if you ever miss those midnight feedings and diaper changes, I would be more than happy to let you come and feed/change Hailey!!! But I do understand the sadness that comes with a last child, I am selling my bassinet, the last bassinet we will ever have, it is sad! Cute bed for Teva, what a big girl!

Awww, what a sweet post. It is hard to say goodbye to those lasts, but there are so many firsts to come still! Teva looks so thrilled with her new bed! And I always love a new vacuum (we've had three in the last 10 years), until its first clog, then I think, I need a Dyson ($400) or better yet, a Kirby ($2000)!! Alas, I don't think that dream is mine to behold.

I was devastated when I realized that everyone of little Nathan's "firsts" were going to be my "lasts". Making that transition is tough. One last I will be happy about though, will be the last diaper! I am just starting to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel there after almost 15 loooooooooooong years of diaper duty (or should I say doody?!)

Happy vacuummage!
