Teva enjoying Banana Bar BatterMy friend was 19 weeks pregnant and lost their baby boy yesterday. The doctor believes the baby died at 16 weeks. I'm so sad for their family. I'm super sensitive to this because I understand. I lost 4 babies through miscarriage. The farthest along I lost a baby was at 13 weeks and it was a boy. This sweet family will be getting our love today. A yummy dinner with dessert and a new blanket to snuggle up with. I love to serve, and help those in need. Especially when their heart hurts. I would like to share the recipe of the banana bars I'm taking to them. I'm not a big fan of banana bread but I sure do love banana bars-Yum-O. I can not remember where I got the recipe, but I hope you enjoy eating these as much as I do. They taste great straight from the fridge.
Frosted Banana Bars
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
2 T. butter softened
2 egg whites
3/4 cup mashed banana, about 2
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 375 spay 9x9 pan. Beat sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs for 1 minute on low speed. Beat in bananas and vanilla on low for 30 seconds. Beat in flour, salt, and baking soda for 1 minute. Spread into pan and bake 20-25 minutes until light golden brown. Cool completely. This doubles great for a 9 x 13 pan.
Frosting

Trinette!!! You have had a rough few days - I am so sorry. Preschool, Car, a sad friend. I'm sorry. I bet those banana bread bars will at least bring in a little sunshine in a hard time.
I wish I could help you with the other two but at least preschool can be fixed. I am excited for Aiven to go to school with Austin. Austin asks me often if he can play with Aiven. I just haven't found a chance to have him over yet.
Definitely, we will carpool and play date!
Oh Trinette! I am so brokenhearted for your friend. You and I both have too much of a "good idea" of what she is going through. It will be a blessing for her to have someone who understands.
Will have to try the Banana Bars - Could use them in the kids' lunchboxes. Thanks for sharing. :0)
You're so sweet to respond immediately with service. I believe we have to suffer so that we can provide empathy for those going through similar trials. Good for you.
